The 1st Hole plays over a rumpled native landscape to the fairway and, due to its short nature, is all about making choices off the tee.
These choices will be dictated by the hole location. The golfer can choose to play safe by staying short of the bunkers on the left, playing up the right side of the hole, or carrying the bunkers to try and drive the green, which will gain a distinct advantage for any holes on the right side of this slender elevated green.
The green is longer than it is deep and is guarded by bunkers on the right and a sharp mound within the green on the left. Playing over the back will require a deft touch to get back in play.
