Native Stingless Bees

It has been a near-perfect summer of growing conditions on the Bay Course and the landscape has been flourishing. Helping this process has been thousands of hard workers – our native bee colony. With around 80 percent of floral species in Australia relying on bees to reproduce, these bees play a crucial role in the ongoing success and propagation of our heathland landscape.

To provide insight into the important work that our native bees perform, B&B Education Manager Nicole Lewis filmed a video following the reinstallation of our bee hive at the start of summer.
